This week I have stumbled upon a new Google feature that I believe has a significant impact on me (established in May 2009). The tools is called the Google Wonder Wheel. It can be accessed on any Google search by clicking on “show options” which is located above the first search result.

It allows you to see something similar to a mind map of the search results. You can see what Google believes are the closest related terms to your query. It also shows the SERPs on the right hand side.

Google Wonder Wheel allows the user to click on other search phrases which in turn brings up another set of results.

Keyword research just became a whole lot easier. This tool has limitless possibilities. It can be used as the following:

Keyword research tool

Market research

Niche exploration

I’m sure plenty of clever people will think of some more uses, that’s just what I came up with off the top of my head. Here is a post on the Google Wonder Wheel

Important You can also find related search to your desired query. Instead of clicking on Wonder Wheel you can just click on related searches and they all come up.

The tool really is self explanatory. Give it a go and tell me what you think. I hope you like it!

Today I checked up on a program the was recommended to me by the same guy I bought the time management program from. I must say that this program is highly effective.

The program is called Manic Time. This program tracks all the websites and programs that you visit. It records all the stats on how long you were at your computer and where you spent your time.

I have been using this program and am quite disgusted in the results to tell you the truth. I am actually too embarrassed to share the results with the readers here. What this information has given me though is confirmation of just how inefficient, lazy, unproductive my procrastinating arse is.

The stats that are provided give a detailed break down in an easy to read format for you. Here is a generic screen shot from the official website:

This is just one of a number of things I am doing to improve my productivity. I will be making a follow up post on developments to my time management structure.

Last night I bought a program called The Action Machine. It was first suggested in a thread at PAL by Kyle. When you go to the official website you are greeted by a sales page. Until recently I would have insta-closed a page like that. But I have been checking out other industries and from what I have read, pages like that do really well.

Anyway, I am in desperate need of gaining control of my days. It seems that days turn into nights, and nights turn into days. Before I know it most of the week has slipped by and I haven’t done much. I have a big list of all the content that I need to catch up on, so I am going to add it to this program.

So more about this time management program. Essentially, it is a to-do list with egg timers and added fanciness. You create all the tasks that you have to do and add a description about what that involves. You can create more than one list, so when one is complete, you can move onto the next one.

You assign a certain amount of time for each task. When you press play the timer begins to count down on that task, as well as the overall time you allocated for the day.

The key to get this to work is to stop everything that you are doing and complete exactly what you are supposed to. No checking email, forums or Skype. You can allocate 15 minutes for whenever you need to for that. Stick to doing exactly what is on the list.

I have just done up my first daily task and it is 5 hours and 15 minutes. That might not seem like much, but it is 10pm on a Saturday night and I already had a couple of red wines when I went out for Indian.

I will keep everyone updated on just how successful this is for me as an affiliate. I am all for tools that can make me more productive and increase my lacking of work ethic.

Here is a demo of the software:

You can check out all the videos on how it works on The Action Machine help page.

If anyone would like to get their hands on this tool to try it out for themselves then I will try to help you out. I hope you are all having a great weekend.
