Affiliate Weekend – Tie Up Loose Ends

by Nick Haslem on May 24, 2009 · 0 comments

One of the things that I desperately hate about being an affiliate is always feeling guilty about taking time off. Whenever I decide to go out and do something I feel bad because I feel as though I should be working.

This weekend I am going to be tying up loose ends so that when Monday begins I can get cracking straight away. I will have a change of scenery though because I will be going down to my Grandfather’s on the Gold Coast. He is getting really old and gets quite lonely. I haven’t seen him much and he only lives an hour away. He is a really cool guy as well. He is 88 years old and knows some things I don’t about computers. He is fascinated by them and loves talking to me so he can learn more.

So what I will do before I head down there is fix up all the bits and pieces that have been nagging me on my sites. I will also be finishing off some writing that I have to do. I want to get it all out of the road so when I go to the coast I can get my pattern sorted. I have gone back to my old sleeping and eating pattern.

When I’m down there I can go for runs along the beach in the morning and enjoy the fresh air. I will also be waking up early and eating right. A couple of days ago I found out there were 500ML cans of V now. So today I got four, which is 2 litres. I have an addictive personality I know.

I did manage to have a bit of fun today because I got to spend time with my friend. She came over and we chilled out which is nice to take my mind of things. I also finally got the sport package put back on so I can watch the final round of the English Premier League tomorrow night.

It’s 4am right now and I’m in a great mood for getting work done. I don’t know why that is. Perhaps it is the 2 litres of V? On a side note the city I live in has received 1/3 of its annual rainfall in one day and parts of the city were flooded. This is just after we have had our worst drought ever as well.

Also my home town has been one of the worst hit. In a town of 20,000 people, the last I heard 9000 had been evacuated. It is the fourth flood they have had this year. Kind of sucks because I spent my whole life there pretty much. But the people are used to it and I’m sure they’ll get over it.

On a much lighter note. It is the weekend so I hope you guys are out the pickin’ up some birds ehhhh!
